What gets me about Nicole Kidman is that she'll trade the glamour for the part, every time. In To Die For she's a TV personality chasing fame with everything she's got, and then for The Hours she put on a prosthetic nose to become Virginia Woolf. That's the kind of artistic dedication I care about more than keeping a polished public image.
