🎬📺In & Out(1997) ❤️ 4.5/5 ⭐ ​In & Out is lowkey a comedy masterpiece that modern Hollywood is way too cowardly to make today. Kevin Kline getting unhinged trying to prove he’s masculine by listening to an audio tape on "how to be a man" is funnier than 99% of modern studio comedies. Imagine being engaged to Joan Cusack for 3 years, only to realize you’re gay on your actual wedding day because Matt Dillon won an Oscar and outed you on live TV. Howard Brackett’s life collapsed in 4K resolution before social media even existed. Joan Cusack’s breakdown in the middle of the road in her full wedding dress deserves to be preserved in the Library of Congress. "Is anybody here NOT GAY?!" is top-tier comedic timing. She didn't just chew the scenery, she devoured the entire budget. Give her all the awards retroactively! Tom Selleck as a suave gay entertainment journalist in In & Out is his single best performance. Forget the mustache and Magnum, P.I., the sheer charisma he brought to stealing Kevin Kline’s character away from Joan Cusack was unmatched. ⭐Synopsis: A high school English teacher’s entire sexuality is thrown into crisis because his former student couldn't keep his mouth shut during an Oscar acceptance speech.
