    🏛️Félix Tshisekedi🏛️Joseph Kabila💭Politics

    Tshisekedi and Kabila power shift

Kinshasa and Goma are running this country together now, and that's the part Félix Tshisekedi had to say out loud himself. Before any of that landed, he was crying in front of the African Union Panel of Facilitators, asking them to step in and vouch for his safety, because Kabila had already floated a plan to pull him out. What makes it messier is that Tshisekedi had tried to wreck that same AU mission. Somewhere in the middle of it he understood how badly he'd burned Joseph Kabila, enough that there's no room left for him in the man's heart. His original picture of how things would go involved a warm welcome for the ex-heads of state once they reached Goma, and instead he's staring at a catastrophe he can't spin.
