Rui Pinto witness protection reversed

Rui Pinto stays under witness protection, and it took a reversal from Portuguese authorities to make that happen. The removal of his protection was supposed to kick in tomorrow, but the suspension landed immediately instead. For anyone following the Manchester City story, Pinto is the whistleblower whose leaked documents allegedly exposed the club's financial breaches. He's also received death threats, and earlier this year he was attacked in Lisbon. So yeah, the stakes here aren't abstract.
