    Canadian economy trade war update

Canada shed 68,000 jobs in September and that marks the second month running where employment numbers went down instead of up. When you add those losses together with the previous month, the total for just two months hits 110,000 positions gone from the economy. The unemployment rate climbed to 6.5% during this same period while the job market continues to show signs of significant strain. This weakening in employment figures is happening as the ongoing trade war with the US keeps exerting pressure on the Canadian economy and making things harder for workers.
