According to Axios, the people running OpenAI, Anthropic and other AI labs have been quietly running scenarios for what happens after a catastrophic AI event. The trigger they have in mind: a large cyberattack that takes out banks, the internet, or power and water. A number of industry insiders told Axios they see a major incident as likely within 6-12 months. OpenAI said its preparedness drills are not treated as inevitable. Anthropic declined to comment. The point of the planning is to brief Congress now, so the companies can shape the rules lawmakers reach for afterward. Keep an eye on all of these AI executives. When you start seeing them stock up on toilet paper and powdered milk, might want to do the same. 😂 Source: Axios, TabzLIVE (TG) / Writer: Jamie #OpenAI #Anthropic
