A reported plague case in Siberia involving a lab worker's death has prompted Lithuania to consider limiting transit for Russian citizens if the threat is confirmed as serious. The Baltic nation shares a border with Kaliningrad, a Russian exclave located roughly 3,500 miles from the site of the suspected infection. Lithuania's health minister stated that any resulting measures will be coordinated with the EU. This potential restriction stems from a hypothetical scenario regarding safety precautions.
