Dead Leaf Butterfly camouflage

The Dead Leaf Butterfly is a master of the art of disappearing. When its wings are folded shut, they mimic dry leaves so perfectly that it blends right into dead foliage. This species manages to be both beautiful and functional at the same time, using that disguise as a survival tactic. It raises an interesting question about whether you could actually spot one in its natural habitat if you were walking through a forest full of leaves.
