Lionel Messi Argentina jersey retirement

IT IS THE TRUE END OF AN ERA. After more than 20 years, Lionel Messi wore the Argentina national team jersey for the last time tonight. From that debut in 2005 until today: the lost finals, the criticism, the defeats, the pain, and that moment when he came to think of leaving it all. But Leo never stopped trying. And football returned to him everything he sought so much: 4 titles, including the blessed World Cup, 125 goals in 208 matches, and a jersey that, from today on, will bear his name forever. Messi did not only change Argentina's history. He changed forever the way an entire generation lived and understood football. Today the number 10 says goodbye. The captain says goodbye. A legend says goodbye. THANK YOU, LEO, FOR GIFTING US THE MOST BEAUTIFUL STORY.
