Benin Captain Sessi D'Almeida gifts Messi

Sessi D'Almeida, the captain of the Benin national team, just handed Lionel Messi a replica of the Amazon statue from Cotonou. This piece isn't just art; it depicts an Agojie, a warrior woman from the Kingdom of Dahomey who was part of a female army active between the 17th and 19th centuries. That same history of fierce defenders inspired the Dora Milaje in Black Panther and the film The Woman King. The meaning behind this exchange is BRUTAL because it symbolizes a historical warrior protecting the KING OF FOOTBALL. It serves as a final farewell to Messi from the Argentina National Team. #LionelMessi #ArgentinaMenSNationalFootballTeam
