Good news also In China’s BoxOffice, where R-rated game adaptation horror reboot ResidentEvil   directed by ZachCregger saw strong hold on 2nd day, (which is 6th day of the local GoldenWeek 7-day long holiday), grossing STRONG $8.2M on TUE over 116k screenings (+2k from yesterday, just a -32.7% drop from MON Opening Day! It hits a $20.3M cume in just 2 days. Incredible walk up business specially for horror, 85.4% of tickets bought on the day, only 14.6% during pre-sales. WOM seems positive, as while Audiences score from ticket buyers on Maoyan are still under wraps, on Douban it received a solid 7.2⭐️ score, specially strong for Hollywood horror films locally. $775k in pre-sales for WED, when it will play over 114k screenings (-2k from today)
