Sunny Hostin Cynthia Erivo Cornell 7

Cynthia Erivo called Sunny Hostin to share a specific strategy for discussing the Cornell 7 sexual assault case. The advice was clear: skip the legal jargon at first and lead with empathy so audiences can actually receive the message about the law. Hostin took that to heart and changed her approach in subsequent conversations on The View. She explained that this shift helped people absorb the facts, like how New York law requires someone to be completely passed out, affirmatively say no, or be drugged involuntarily if they were voluntarily intoxicated to prove sexual assault. #CynthiaErivo
