Ousmane Dembélé France performance critique

The situation with Ousmane Dembélé for France is getting ugly fast, and L'Équipe isn't holding back. They're pointing out that the gap between his reputation and the actual international reality keeps growing wider every time he steps on the pitch. Look at the numbers: 13 goals in 71 caps. The publication calls this a real DISASTER, a miserable return that belongs to a supporting player, not someone with his profile. In the specific match they analyzed, Dembélé took FIVE shots, more than any other French player, yet he didn't get a SINGLE one on target. He also lost possession 22 TIMES, which was the worst record of the night by a mile. It gets worse when you look at the comparisons; Joaquin Seys saw a thousand times more stars against Olise in just 30 minutes than Dembélé managed during his full hour of play. Because of all this statistical failure, L'Équipe suggests the bench might actually be where Dembélé ends up once Kylian Mbappé returns to the squad.
