Posting a photo with a tiny Brazil flag right after casting my first ballot and getting dismantled the same day. Critics decided my whole political stance, who I vote for, and what I believe in based on that shot from a regatta, even though I never publicly took a position on politics before this incident. They built an entire narrative about me just to justify personal attacks that included insults targeting my appearance, intelligence, and gratuitous profanity. RafaJustus deactivated comments because respect is mandatory on their profile, questioning if a flag from another country would have sparked this level of backlash. The author asserts that being Brazilian means using the national flag shouldn't require any explanation whatsoever. Political disagreement is one thing entirely, but it never warrants disrespect or gratuitous hatred.
