The debate involving Ethan Klein didn't just end; it seems to have triggered a rapid collapse in his standing. Hasan and Ryan Beard argue that Ethan actively damaged his own career while trying to take down his adversaries. Piker finds it amusing that Ethan's community initially insisted the event was a major success for him, but they abandoned that narrative almost immediately. There simply wasn't anything redeemable about the whole thing, so the idea of victory died fast. That quick surrender only accelerated the demise of his reputation. It feels like the lack of any real substance made the turnaround inevitable.
