    2024 Lettuce and Chicory Production Rankings

    China actually led the 2024 global harvest for lettuce and chicory with a massive 14,690,000 tonnes while the United States came in second at 4,400,000 tonnes. India took third place with 1,170,000 tonnes followed by Spain with 916,400 tonnes and Italy sitting at 688,700 tonnes. Niger contributed 667,700 tonnes to the total while Türkiye produced 602,800 tonnes of these crops. Japan's output was 555,800 tonnes, Mexico made 512,400 tonnes, and Belgium yielded 501,800 tonnes. Iran hit 434,900 tonnes and France stood at 433,900 tonnes with Germany producing 222,400 tonnes. The Netherlands reached 163,900 tonnes, Australia made 162,400 tonnes, and Malaysia's output was 148,200 tonnes. Colombia produced 120,700 tonnes, the United Kingdom yielded 109,400 tonnes, South Korea made 106,500 tonnes, and Guatemala ended the list at 104,800 tonnes.
