    Where does all the spinach in your grocery store actually come from. Turns out China grew 28,320,000 tonnes in 2024, which is basically almost everything on the list. The United States came in second with 280,000 tonnes, Kenya was right behind at 242,700 tonnes, and Türkiye sat at 237,200 tonnes. Japan hit 200,100 tonnes, Indonesia 168,400 tonnes, Malaysia 122,700 tonnes, Italy 102,400 tonnes, Iran 99,700 tonnes, Belgium 97,000 tonnes, Pakistan 90,500 tonnes, Spain 89,800 tonnes, France 81,600 tonnes, Bangladesh 66,800 tonnes, Germany 65,700 tonnes, South Korea 57,200 tonnes, Greece 52,900 tonnes, the Netherlands 38,400 tonnes, Mexico 36,400 tonnes, and Peru wrapped it up with 31,900 tonnes. The numbers come from FAOSTAT (2024), via Terra Cultiva, and everything is rounded.
