    ⭐Michael C. Hall📺Dexter📺Dexter: New Blood

    Dexter New Blood and Resurrection

The bond behind Dexter outlasted the show itself, and that's the whole reason the character got to come back at all. Michael C. Hall never clocked in for the part like it was just another gig. Neither did the folks working around him. Clyde Phillips arrived early to patch up the pilot, then steered the first four seasons. Marcos Siega signed on in season two. Somewhere across those long production days, the three of them landed on a serious level of trust, and it stuck around well after the original run wrapped. So when Showtime got the itch to bring the series back for a new installment called New Blood, that pre-existing trust is exactly what made it possible. Phillips put together a pitch and met with Hall. Before the pitch even finished, Hall was already in. Then Siega got the call to return. The whole thing didn't feel like a reunion so much as resuming a conversation that never really stopped. New Blood was meant to be the character's final appearance. Hall believed it was the end of the story. Then he reached out to Phillips anyway, wondering if the character could still have a future. Phillips spotted a narrative path for him to survive. Siega came back for the follow-up project, titled Resurrection. Dexter isn't real. The reason he keeps coming back is. 🍿
