HIStory is where the run gets filed, but that's just the label for everything after. Before that, the King of Pop didn't chase trends. Off the Wall lit the fuse and shifted music. Thriller moved the whole planet and broke the charts. Bad raised the bar for spectacle and stage performance. Dangerous pushed the edges and broke the rules. Those albums are quintessential works of Rock and Soul, and they set the tempo everyone else still follows. They're the gold standard for vocal and rhythmic potential. Michael Jackson's album releases rewired the music industry. Listen to it then go to sleep, wake up, listen again. It's a classic.
