Zelenskyy on Japan sanctions and Ukraine winter

A critical test of alliances faces Kyiv as winter brings severe conditions to the war. Moscow has targeted Ukraine's energy grid, causing blackouts and leaving people without heat or running water while drone and missile attacks escalate ahead of the season. Amid this cruelty, Japan moved to impose additional sanctions on Russia, specifically targeting the shadow fleet and expanding export restrictions. Zelensky stated he highly appreciates the decision of the Government of Japan to introduce these measures, calling the adoption of the package a timely and necessary step against the ongoing terror. With the situation so dire, the question remains whether America will stand as a true ally to Kyiv during this period.
