Pete Davidson told Variety that seeing Ariana Grande get picked apart over her appearance actually hurt him. He says the scrutiny isn't cool and he genuinely doesn't understand why it exists in the first place. Even though he's seen her handle tough moments personally and knows she's strong enough to deal with public attention, he still thinks the whole situation is messed up. He predicts she'll be fine because she's been around this stuff before, but that doesn't make the criticism acceptable.
