PS5 digital model changes

PlayStation is moving to a fully digital model and clearing out movies, TV shows, and games with expired licenses from user libraries. That shift happens right as Tapas shuts down operations entirely. In response to these changes, BookWalker Director Susan McCulloch spoke with Anime Updates about why digital ownership matters. She said consumers should never expect their online purchases to be repossessed once bought. This rule applies to eBooks and all other digital content too. McCulloch pointed out that the LCP (Licensed Content Protection) solution at BookWalker is fundamental for this reason. The belief there is that customer libraries need to stay accessible on their platform and outside it as well. It's a stance on keeping what you buy safe when services change or close down.
