Three goals in two Nations League matches for Spain, and Lamine Yamal is 19. The brace against Croatia is the headline, sure, but the part that gets me is the context around it. People had been saying he needed to show up more in games, that his level had dipped. So he goes out and does that. More goals than matches played, which is a stat that shouldn't make sense for a teenager. And this is supposedly the worst stretch of his career. If that's the low point, I don't know what the high point is going to look like. He's out there enjoying football the way he knows how, and the noise just kind of fades.
