Rui Takahashi comes out as gay

Rui Takahashi, the Japanese volleyball player, has publicly identified as gay after years of internal struggle. He described a fear from childhood regarding certain personal aspects that caused him distress and led to self-denial. In his statement, Takahashi expressed hope that sharing his experience could help others struggling with self-acceptance, regardless of reasons or backgrounds. He noted he would be happy if his confrontation with himself and sharing thoughts in his own words could be even a small catalyst for change.
