South Korea Ukraine North Korean POW dispute

South Korea summoned Ukraine's envoy and demanded an apology, all because of a prisoner transfer that was supposed to stay under wraps. At the UN, Zelensky said two North Korean soldiers had been captured fighting for Russia and then sent to South Korea. Seoul's objection isn't the transfer itself. It's that the disclosure broke a confidentiality agreement meant to shield the defectors' families from Pyongyang's retaliation. Kyiv says there was never any deal to begin with. So the two governments are at odds over what was said, what was promised, and who broke whose trust.
