Gekkou is animating The After School Idol Has a Secret, and the broadcast window is locked for April 2027. It's an idol and youth romantic comedy from Amane Kashiko, the original Japanese title being Houkago no Idol ni wa Himitsu ga aru. The setup starts with a guy in high school who blows a test because of pressure from his mom, so remedial classes after school become mandatory. That's where a classmate turns out to be a popular teen idol, except her grades are a mess. Studying together after school follows, and the two get closer as it goes. Hakusensha, Amane Kashiko, StarryCube, and the Idol After School Production Committee hold the rights.
