ZachCregger’s R-rated video-game horror adaptation ResidentEvil  nears the 200M mark at Global BoxOffice, after grossed 27M on 2nd weekend overseas, just a -44.1% drop from opening, for a 93M intl. cume over 62 markets. Allied to its 103.5M cume in the U.S., the horror, with a 75M production price-tag not including marketing, hits a 196.5M Global cume, beating ResidentEvilApocalypse’s entire 125.3M & ResidentEvilExtinction’s entire 149.9M global runs in just 2 weekens! Next week, it will also best ResidentEvilRetribution’s 240.6M run as #3 highest grossing film of the franchise globally. And it hasn’t even debuted in China yet… Eyeing a 320M-350M Global run until we see if it debuts in China and how it opens there.
