When she told him fine, you have a right to defend yourself, he corrected her: he was not defending himself, she said he said something he did not say. She said that is fine, we can move on, and he agreed. That whole exchange was a masterclass from Blanche. She backed off the second she realized the claim would not hold up on air, and the reason is obvious enough: ABC did not want its access pulled the way CNN's was. The guy who ran the White House briefing room for a single day is looking like he belongs back at the podium, and Trump might just put him there again.
