That’s honestly the best thing that could have happened to StarWars! JonWatts is the kind of director who’s primary goal is always the audience’s experience. He has no problem with being cheesy, cliché, safe, as long as moviegoers have an amazing time. SW has been plagued by self indulgence for way too long, it’s past time for it to be allowed to be a CROWD PLEASER once again. Not just for kids like TheMandalorianAndGrogu. Not just for adults like TheLastJedi or Andor. It’s time for SW to be once again a CROWD PLEASER FOR ALL without sacrificing quality in the process, like the prequels & the original trilogy used to be. JonWatts did an amazing job repositioning SpiderMan with TomHolland after the AndrewGarfield’s era unfortunate debacle. I’m sure Mr. Watts would do just as well directing Star Wars, AS LONG AS THE SCRIPT IS ALSO GOOD.
