🇷🇺🇨🇳 The Iran war made China buy much more Russian oil than before. China and Russia share a long border and pipelines are already in place. In fact, China now has only one reliable oil supplier that can deliver oil without foreign interference: Russia. -> Hence Russia's importance to the neocons, who see China as the main adversary. Take out Russia and China will have an oil problem.
