Sources tell FightfulSelect WWE decided against airing Worlds Collide live back in early August specifically to try and hurt AEW All Out ticket numbers in Chicago. The strategy was meant to suppress the crowd size but insiders admit AEW actually sold more tickets than they anticipated for the event. Despite that outcome, WWE sources say they remained satisfied with how Worlds Collide performed on its own.
