The boldest prediction in this whole thing is that both of them end up permanently out of power and forgotten, and nothing about the way they move suggests otherwise. Evariste Ndayishimiye came out and admitted Burundi is hosting thousands of Rwandan genocidal elements, so the moral high ground he keeps reaching for is already gone. He built a whole doctrine around the line THE ENEMY OF MY ENEMY IS MY FRIEND, and that is exactly the posture that paints him as a person dismantling regional peace instead of defending it. At the United Nations Security Council podium in New York, he turned the moment into a platform for Félix Tshisekedi, pushing for Rwandan troops to pull out of the Democratic Republic of Congo. What he left out of that demand is the part that matters: Burundian forces, the Tanzanian troops he is organizing, mercenaries, and the FDLR all planted in the DRC as if they earned the right to stay. So while he plays referee, Evariste Ndayishimiye and Félix Tshisekedi are propping up terrorist networks and roadblockers in urban zones of the so-called liberated territory. Those criminal units were the ones positioned to stage a fake recapture campaign for Goma, styled as BLUE WHALE. Tshisekedi and Ndayishimiye have pledged to fight together and die together. The fate waiting for both of them is the same: permanently out of power and forgotten.
