The Republic of Ireland national team was in a spot where some players looked like they might skip the game against Israel. Goalkeeper Gavin Bazunu joined that group, citing worries about Gaza as the reason he didn't want to participate. Despite that, a significant majority of the squad cast their votes to go ahead with the match.
