Robert Eggers just confirmed his next project is a ROMEO & JULIET adaptation, a pivot that came after he wrote the horror film Werwulf. Following that completion, he started drafting another horror script that became too dark, leading him to step away from the genre entirely. He decided to take a break and chose to direct a story about two teenagers committing suicide instead.
