The US sat at 34,000, Peru at 33,476, and Mexico rounded out the top five with 28,313. Armenia reported 11,116 tonnes. Iran, 7,900. Kazakhstan, 3,727. Mongolia, 2,650. Russia, 1,200. Canada, 1,171. Australia, 1,110. Uzbekistan, 713. North Korea, 350. South Korea, 339. Add it all up and the reported global total for 2023 was 291,683 tonnes. China's slice of that was 41.65%.
