Lindsay Lohan Inferno biopic

The project Inferno: A Linda Lovelace Story was meant to be the comeback vehicle for Lindsay Lohan, casting her as Linda Lovelace back in 2010. Director Matthew Wilder and the producers initially stood by that choice, even while she navigated serious legal and personal difficulties. Wilder explicitly stated they would wait for her to get things sorted before moving forward. But those continuing legal troubles made getting insurance impossible, creating a massive barrier that halted everything. The narrative that she walked away voluntarily got shut down immediately. As Matthew Wilder put it, She wasn't leaving the movie. She had been fired. He confirmed with the producers that recasting was the only path left after those barriers became too high. Malin Akerman eventually took over the role of Linda Lovelace. Instead of a career revival, the film simply didn't materialize. Lindsay Lohan never actually performed the part.
