Global Soybean Production Rankings 2024

Brazil actually led the global soybean harvest in 2024 with a massive 144,473,768 tonnes according to FAOSTAT data. The United States followed closely behind with 118,836,440 tonnes while Argentina secured the third spot with 48,213,207 tonnes. China produced 20,650,000 tonnes and India came in at 15,132,082 tonnes for that same year. Paraguay contributed 11,100,256 tonnes and Canada added 7,568,013 tonnes to the tally. Russia harvested 7,000,000 tonnes and Ukraine brought in 6,635,180 tonnes before Bolivia reached 3,216,440 tonnes. Uruguay finished with 3,065,000 tonnes while South Africa hit 1,848,000 tonnes. Nigeria produced 1,150,000 tonnes and Italy added 1,125,580 tonnes to the list. France came in at 398,540 tonnes and Romania contributed 316,760 tonnes. Mexico finished with 265,333 tonnes and Hungary added 258,890 tonnes. Japan produced 252,400 tonnes and Ethiopia rounded out the rankings with 240,000 tonnes. This list ranks countries by total soybean tonnage for the year 2024 based on the FAO's current crop-production dataset.
