So Zidane's first day in charge of the French National Team is done, and the man is back on a touchline after five years away. Bigger than anything he's taken on before, this job. The whole point is getting France back to the top, and the plan has dates on it: Nations League in 2027, then the European Championship in 2028, then the World Cup in 2030 as the thing he's really chasing. And look at what he gets to work with. Mbappé, Dembélé, Olise, Cherki, plus whatever else is in the pool. Genuinely hard not to be *elated* about all of this.
