RESIDENT EVIL just broke every record for the franchise and director Zach Cregger, racking up $60 million domestically and $109 million globally. The UK took the top international spot with $5.8 million, while Mexico came in second at $5.6 million. Australia and France both pulled in $2.6 million each, followed by Germany at $2.5 million. Spain generated $2.3 million, Brazil added $2 million, and Italy brought in $1.7 million. Saudi Arabia contributed $1.6 million and the UAE finished with $1.4 million. It's still scheduled to hit theaters in China and Japan later on.
