Prosecutors aren't waiting on anything. Noncitizen voter fraud prosecutions are scaling up in a way we haven't seen. DHS is running its own crackdown alongside DOJ, and the stated mission is stopping cheating before November. That part needs Congress, though. New election laws, and the wish list is a single voting day, limits on mail-in ballots, voter ID, proof of citizenship, and counts that don't drag for weeks.
