Didier Drogba on Messi's 63 goals

Didier Drogba is still recounting the moment Chelsea coach Roberto Di Matteo broke his usual pre-match routine before facing FC Barcelona. Normally the screen would feature names like Wayne Rooney with 22 goals or Robin van Persie with 15, but that night the list told a different story. Xavi sat in third place with 14 goals while Alexis Sanchez and Cesc Fàbregas held second spot with 15 each. Then Leo Messi appeared at the very top with 63 goals for that season. The squad erupted into laughter because 14 of those tallies came from the UEFA Champions League alone. A figure like 63 that season felt so scandalous to them that they just stared at each other in disbelief. They couldn't help but laugh at the sheer scale of it all. Drogba even snapped a photo of the screen displaying the number just to prove how wild the stat was. #DidierDrogba
