Messi Ronaldo Neymar James Rodríguez national team farewells

So the international chapter is closing for four of the biggest names this sport has ever had, all at once. Lionel Messi is done with the Argentina National Team at 39, after one last World Cup. Neymar is walking away from the Brazil National Team at 34, also after a final World Cup. James Rodríguez is leaving the Colombia National Team at 35, same deal, one last World Cup. Cristiano Ronaldo put it differently, saying this may be the final year of his professional career, following his last World Cup with Portugal at 41. Legends retiring officially. The guy many call the greatest to ever play. The all-time leading scorer. Colombia's best ever. And the prince of football. That part stings, not going to pretend otherwise. An entire era of the game just wrapped, and I don't think we get another one like it. DO NOT CRY BECAUSE IT ENDED, SMILE BECAUSE IT HAPPENED. THIS WORLD CUP WILL HURT FOR A LIFETIME!
