Hugh Jackman James Bond regret

The math of career choices is wild. Hugh Jackman was offered the James Bond role back in 2003 for a project that evolved into Casino Royale (2006). He was already locked into playing Wolverine in the X-Men series, so the fear of getting trapped in another franchise cycle was real. When he asked about the director, the plot, and where the story was going, the response was just to sign the contract without any answers. So he passed on it. Daniel Craig eventually stepped in as 007 years later. Jackman watched the finished film after release and realized exactly what he had rejected while seeing Craig's performance. His reaction was simply: Oops.
