Dave Chappelle’s Reggie scene is the last time a movie roast felt dangerous. No safe words. No “just joking” aftercare. Just a skinny comic picking the fattest man in the room and refusing to stop until the whole club turned on him. Then Buddy Love walked in and did the same thing back, but worse. Modern comedy would have canceled both of them by the second punchline. 1996 didn’t care. ⭐Synopsis: First night: shy professor takes the girl he likes to a club. Comic spots him immediately. Turns the whole room against him. Sherman smiles through it like a hostage. Goes home, drinks the formula, becomes someone who will never be laughed at again. Second night: same club, same comic. Different man. By the time Reggie tries karate, it’s already over. “Reggie has left the building.” That’s not a plot point. That’s a character arc with a body count. 🎬📺Nutty Professor😂⭐⭐⭐
