Sami Zayn wins WWE Championship

Dave Meltzer via WOR and WONF4W says there were people inside WWE who didn't want Sami Zayn to win the WWE Championship last Friday. Even with that pushback, the decision went through regardless. He was told the reasoning is a storyline that will look logical once you rewind everything. The quote from Meltzer captures it: "With the Sami Zayn thing, the basic gist was they have a storyline that will make sense when you look back on it, is what I was told. And when it's all said and done, this will all make sense." He also confirmed the dissent was real but the outcome stood firm. As he put it, "There were certainly people who were against it, but they did it and that was that."
