FIFA contract termination rule change

FIFA is reportedly working on a rewrite of the rules covering how footballer contracts get terminated, and the target date attached to it is January 1, 2027. The spark behind the proposal traces back to the Julián Álvarez saga. What FIFA says it wants to fix: payouts so oversized they end up choking off a transfer before it can happen. The compensation model being floated would lean on what a deal is genuinely worth, aiming for something fairer and less arbitrary. Read the whole thing one way and it points toward players having more say over where they land next. So are impossible exits finally done?
