CJ Perry confirmed a report that Rusev was injured, explaining that he had to roll outside of the ring since he could not feel his hands while the referee considered calling the match due to his condition. Someone recorded the incident which went viral on Twitter and sparked debates among fans who were arguing whether Rusev was genuinely hurt or just trying to avoid losing. The situation escalated when the refs were thinking about stopping the bout because he couldn't feel his hands, but Rusev stated he could still compete after regaining feeling in his hands.
