Vozinha Ballon d'Or nomination

WE MADE THE RIGHT PERSON FAMOUS! Vozinha just secured a nomination for the Ballon d'Or as the world's best goalkeeper, and honestly, the journey is insane. This 40-year-old Cape Verdean keeper went from playing in a second division to standing alongside Joan García, El Dibu Martínez, Unai Simón, Safonov, Courtois, Kobel, Yassine Bono, Edouard Mendy, and David Raya for this honor, even though only one individual will actually take home the trophy. Think about the context: he participated in his country's first World Cup ever, put up standout performances against the world champion without letting in a single goal, and did the same against the world runner-up. He made it into FIFA's best XI, signed with Colo-Colo, and somehow became the most famous goalkeeper globally while raising global awareness of Cape Verde. The fact that he is nominated after all those steps is wild. YOU DID IT, VOZINHA.
