Everybody else was ready to jump on MISTY GREEN, but Chris Rock had to beg Daniel Kaluuya because the actor was partially retired. The only one he had to chase down was Daniel. Rock went all out, visiting him at his hotel and admitting he definitely tap-danced to get him involved. He told Variety that despite the struggle of having to persuade someone who wasn't eager like everyone else, getting Kaluuya on board was worth it. "I had to beg him. He was the only one I had to beg. Everybody else was like, 'I can't wait to do this movie!' Daniel, I had to go to his hotel. I definitely tap-danced.
