Marvel didn't force Hulk into SPIDER-MAN: BRAND NEW DAY. Destin Daniel Cretton says the choice came down to whether it made sense for their story. The production team had to submit a request to Kevin Feige, who granted permission. As he put it, "It made sense to our movie to have Hulk... We had to request and Kevin [Feige] let us do it."
